Regional Digital Ag Lead


Location: Fargo ND or Sioux Falls, SD (and surrounding area)

Reporting to the Head of Digital Ag, the Regional Digital Ag Lead will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the Farmers Edge platform in their geographic region. This role is a visible one with outputs that will impact the entire team.

 Duties may include the following:

  • Lead the way in demonstrating the benefits of digital ag and the Farmers Edge platform, improving the profitability of Farmers Edge customers in the region.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the application of Farmers Edge digital agronomy and data analysis tools.
  • Provide continued input on product ideation and prioritization to ensure regional product needs are met.
  • Participate in product requirement definition, feature prioritization and business justification as required.
  • Work hands-on with development and business teams as required to successfully design, build, and deploy product features.
  • Act as a key source for competitive intelligence and monitoring in the region with centers of influence.
  • Identify and implement tactics for the Digital Ag Team to promote decision ag expert knowledge to increase current customer usage and future customer acquisition.
  • Work with Marketing to expand brand awareness, grow digital/decision ag culture and expose the Farmers Edge brand at key opportunities through public presentations, webinars and social media.
  • Utilize the Farmers Edge platform to generate and communicate regional insights across the customer base.
  • Actively contribute agronomic insight and content to marketing and communications.
  • Support Sales, Operations and Client Success Teams in customer training events and for specific customer requirements as needed.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that exemplify company core values
  • Ensure completion of all necessary administrative functions, such as expense accounts, are completed in a timely manner
  • Travel required (30%)
  • Other duties as assigned

 Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Agriculture
  • 10+ years of experience in related work with emphasis on digital agriculture.
  • Must be comfortable public speaking.  Must be influential, able to command a large audience and articulate vision.
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally.
