Inside Sales Representative

 

Location: Winnipeg Corporate Office, 25 Rothwell Road

 

Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maximizing sales opportunities by conducting outbound calls to potential and existing customers and providing outstanding customer service.

 

Duties may include the following:

  • Seek out new business relationships by creating sales appointments and opportunities through cold calling, email campaigns and other prospecting techniques.
  • Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential clients, soliciting clients through new, current and past leads by building rapport, and providing product information.
  • Maintain and grow our current customers to support growth and meet sales targets.
  • Accomplish sales and organizational goals.
  • Complete technology training as identified throughout the year. Remain current on Farmers Edge product advancements.
  • Travel throughout region as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education and Experience:

  • A bachelors degree or college diploma in business or a related field.
  • Minimum two years inside sales experience, preferably in the agriculture industry.
  • Agriculture knowledge considered an asset.
  • Valid drivers license with a reasonably clear driving record.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with channel partners; exceptional telephone skills required.
  • Highly motivated, driven and passionate about sales.
  • Results focused, competitive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Able to work independently regularly but committed to the marketing team's objectives.

 

Compensation:

Farmers Edge offers a very competitive compensation package. Salary dependent on qualifications and skill.
