Offering a broad portfolio of more than 200 brands from more than 25 suppliers, we serve our agricultural customers from 40 local fulfillment centers throughout the United States. With plans to significantly expand our footprint and build a comprehensive e-commerce marketplace within Farmers Edge, we are looking for talented, customer centric professionals to join our growing team!

What you'll be doing:

Reporting to the Vice President of Business Alignment, the Supplier Relationship Manager works closely with the Vice President of Operations to ensure company operations run efficiently and smoothly. You will develop and maintain relationship with new and existing suppliers, enabling a regular flow of information between all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain regular contact with all suppliers to track product costs, understand inventory availability, negotiate product terms, and adhere to supply agreements
  • Lead the procurement planning process, including the identification of choice product sources
  • Manage sales negotiations and transactions with Business-to-Business partners (e.g. retail partners, brokers, etc.)
  • Manage supplier planning and strategy execution
  • Make recommendations on inventory strategy execution, identifying opportunities to take a position on a product and/or participate in special offers or programs
  • Partners with Marketing on pricing and key products strategy
  • Onboard new suppliers and third-party vendors, and partner with business development in recruiting new suppliers
  • Works with the Technology team to build out and execute on user stories that enable product positioning and the online buying journey.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • 5+ years of strategic level experience in a supply chain, procurement, or e-commerce setting
  • Well-developed business and financial acumen

Farmers Edge offers a very competitive compensation package. Salary is dependent on qualifications and skill.
